John Fredrick Rambo Jr. was...

above all an artist, an entertainer and a true friend to those close to him. It's not easy to describe him, as his friends will tell you, he defied categorization. He walked his own path on everything he did and his success was marked by his influence on others. His untimely death - he was just 32 years old- devastated the local goth, punk and alternative community and his funeral, attended by nearly 200 black-clad folks, resembled more of an outdoor concert than your typical memorial service.

John, along with his best friend Barry Matthew Hunsberger, was the founder

of The 13th Child Entertainment Productions and organizer of the weekly 21+ goth night, The Dark Corner, that occured every Saturday, at a bar/ club space near South st, in Philadelphia, PA. His events brought together a diverse, but tight- knit community that deeply felt his loss.

A deeply creative man, he was always brimming with ideas, and had his hands in multiple projects at any given time. He was a self-taught graphic designer and a talented Special Effects artist. He absolutely adored classic and b horror movies and was an avid reader of ghost legends and paranormal stories.
